Swamiji’s Teachings

Swami Maitreyanand Ji’s teachings deeply touch the hearts of those who come into contact with him, assisting seekers on their worldly and spiritual journey, and inspiring them to live life fully.
Swami Ji believes that true meditation cannot be practiced; it is an event that happens naturally. No meditation technique, in itself, is meditation. Various methods of meditation have been used to help the mind disengage from distractions and bring attention to a single point, creating the conditions for meditation to occur. The concentration of the mind is not meditation; it is simply a part of the process that leads to meditation. Meditation is a state in which the happening and the knowing occur simultaneously and effortlessly. The purpose of meditation and spiritual knowledge is to learn the art of living life naturally and effortlessly, so that we can experience our existence to the fullest, without struggle.
According to Swami Ji’s teachings, transcending all types of difficulties and stresses and fully living every aspect of life is true meditation. As we gradually expand effortlessly from within, external actions begin to happen naturally without affecting the mind. We stop getting entangled and begin witnessing everything as a detached observer. We start responding, instead of reacting, to situations. The surfacing and dissolving of past impressions (sanskaras) happen at an accelerated pace. Even in adverse external circumstances, the seeker begins to experience inner peace, and divine qualities start to grow within. Swami Ji says, “God cannot be touched, but God can be lived.” Divinity is not something to be touched, but rather, it is the realization that “everything is divine.”
Swami Ji’s teachings help break unnecessary beliefs and aid in the infinite expansion of consciousness, which allows life to flow effortlessly. Ultimately, these spiritual practices help in achieving the supreme goal of human life.
