About Swami Maitreyanandji

Swami Maitreyānand Ji hails from a small village nestled in the forests of Madhya Pradesh. Born in June 1972, Swami Ji has had a deep interest in meditation since childhood. From the age of 6 or 7, he enjoyed venturing into the forest alone for meditation. At times, he would spend the whole night meditating in the forest, sometimes even with wild animals like tigers and other creatures sitting in front or near him.
Swami Ji has always had a strong connection with nature. Even during his school and college years, he continued to meditate in the forests and stay connected with nature. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and a Master’s degree in Hindi. After completing his studies, he joined government job. But his primary focus was always spirituality. This was the reason he did not accept marriage, despite pressure from his family.
Having lost his mother at a young age, Swami Ji spent most of his time under the guidance of his father. Since his family was involved in politics, many prominent leaders visited their home. At one point, he was offered a political role, but due to his deep interest in spirituality, he declined the opportunity. Thinking that there should be no hindrance in meditation and sadhana, Swamiji left home, left his family and job and adopted a simple nomadic life. During this time, he made the valleys of Himalayas his home.
During his spiritual journey, Swami Ji spent some time on the banks of the Narmada River, in the company of highly evolved saints. He also spent time in Osho Ashram and the international headquarters of Vipassana, focusing on meditation and Seva. Since childhood, he had spiritual experiences. Once, while bathing in a river, he experienced the feeling of ‘Neti-Neti’ and realized, “I am not the body, I am not the mind.” Over time, in his youth, he reached the highest state of meditation, attaining self-realization.
Swami Ji is well-versed in Ayurveda, plants, economics, and politics. He has consistently provided suggestions to the central and state governments for preserving the environment and forests, some of which have been implemented in government policies. This way, he has contributed to the protection of the country’s environment, forests, and wildlife. He also has deep knowledge of economic subjects, and government policies and organizations have been formed based on his recommendations, aiding the nation’s development. However, Swami Ji has always refrained from taking credit for his work.
He does not have an ashram or a permanent home. Wandering is his nature, and wherever he stays, he considers it his ashram. He does not follow any particular sect or belong to any organization. He envisions creating a community named ‘Siddha Kutumbakam,’ where there is no rush , no chaos, and no man-made problems. It would be a place of natural abundance, simple living, organic farming, medicine, wellness systems, and all things self-sustained, self-made, and self-operated, with everyone working together. This would be a sustainable model-based village.
On his YouTube channel “The Siddha Talks,” there are over 700 spiritual videos, audio-recorded question-answer sessions, and more than 50 meditation techniques available. Thousands of followers subscribe to this channel. His website, “The Siddha Kutumbakam,” also hosts his meditation methods, audio Q&A, and videos.
The ultimate goal of Swami Ji’s life is to guide any seeker who feels lost or stagnant in their spiritual practice, helping them attain their spiritual goal. In his sadhana camps, priority is given to the spiritual interest of the seekers and not to the number of seekers. It is through his grace that any seeker can directly contact him to resolve their queries without any charge. Om !
